چکیده
Background: Sepsis is a condition in systemic infection associated with organdysfunction. Interleukin-17 pro-inflammatory cytokine produced by Th-17 cells. C-reactive protein and neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) have been widely used asmarkers of inflammation. The relationship between IL-17 as proinflammatorycytokine CRP NLR has not reported. Objective: This study aims to prove the correlation NLRin septic patients. Methods: Analytical observational cross-sectional approach was carriedout on 40 patients July–December 2020. levels were obtained theELISA method while using immunoturbidimetric method.NLR result dividing absolute number neutrophils lymphocytesfrom automatic hematology analyzer. Correlation variables performedusing Spearman test. Results: median IL-17, CPR, 363.55 (11.4-1695.80)pg/mL, 13.25 (0.43-53.87) mg/L, 12.00 (2.26–48.5), respectively. Spearmancorrelation test p = 0.019, r 0.37, p= 0.425, 0.13.Conclusion: There weak positive inseptic patients. no

Diagnostic accuracy of procalcitonin, neutrophil-lymphocyte count ratio, C-reactive protein, and lactate in patients with suspected bacterial sepsis
BACKGROUND Early recognition is a key factor to achieve improved outcomes for septic patients. Combinations of biomarkers, as opposed to single ones, may improve timely diagnosis and survival. We investigated the performance characteristics of sepsis biomarkers, alone and in combination, for diagnosis of verified bacterial sepsis using Sepsis-2 and Sepsis-3 criteria, respectively. METHODS Pro...

OBJECTIVE To assess the applicability of salivary C-reactive protein, mean platelet volume, neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio, and platelet lymphocyte ratio in the diagnosis of neonatal sepsis. METHODS Prospective case-control study of 70 full-term neonates, 35 with sepsis (20 with proven sepsis and 15 with clinical sepsis) and 35 healthy controls. Serum and salivary C-reactive protein concentratio...
متن کاملImmediate Diagnosis of Early Onset Sepsis in Premature Newborns by Measurement of Cord C-Reactive Protein and Interleukin-6
Background: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between early onset sepsis and increased levels of C-reactive protein (CRP) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in cord plasma. Methods: A prospective study was conducted in 141 premature infants delivered with gestational ages of 26-35 weeks. IL-6 and CPR were measured by enzyme-linked immunoassay in the cord plasma of the neonates. ...

متن کاملEosinopenia and Neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio as diagnostic tools in neonatal early onset sepsis -a single center observational study
Background and Objective: Neonatal sepsis is associated with high mortality and has a favourable outcome when recognized and treated in a timely manner. In resource-limited settings, there is a need for an affordable test with a short turnaround time for timely diagnosis of sepsis. The aim of this study was to find out the role of eosinopenia and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) in screenin...
